How kinetras Came to Be
kinetras started in 2019, when a group of machine learning practitioners and domain consultants in Chiang Mai noticed a recurring pattern: organizations were eager to adopt AI, but struggled to find partners who would listen before prescribing solutions. Too many engagements began with a technology pitch rather than a genuine understanding of the problem at hand.
We wanted to do things differently. The name kinetras draws from the idea of movement — kinesis — paired with a nod to the terrain of northern Thailand, where paths wind through mountains rather than cutting straight across them. It reflects our belief that meaningful progress often follows a thoughtful, indirect route.
Today, we work with healthcare providers, logistics operators, and cross-functional teams who need practical AI solutions. Our office sits along Tha Phae Road in Chiang Mai's old city, a location that keeps us grounded in a community we care about while serving clients throughout the region.
What hasn't changed since 2019 is our commitment to honest communication. If we don't think AI is the right answer to a client's problem, we'll say so. That kind of candor has earned us lasting relationships, and it's something we plan to keep doing.
